Museums in Winterthur
The Oskar Reinhart Collection ʻAm Römerholz̕ is the property of the Swiss Confederation. It has close links with the history of Winterthur and is one of the town's wide range of public museums. As a whole, these museums offer visitors a stimulating overview of European art and taste from the late Middle Ages to the twenty-first century.
The collection's closest relative among the four other art museums in Winterthur is the Museum Oskar Reinhart, which opened in 1951. This museum houses the other part of the collection amassed by Oskar Reinhart, who donated it to his home town in 1940.
